Terms

Terms of use.

The agreement between you and us when you create a workspace.

What the service is

Fabricata Inspect is software for recording inspections and issuing document-controlled reports. It records what you tell it and formats what you record.

What it is not

It does not carry out inspections, does not verify that what an inspector recorded is accurate, and does not certify that anything conforms to a standard. A report it produces is your document, issued under your company's name and your inspector's signature. Professional and regulatory responsibility for the inspection, and for the release decisions taken on the strength of it, remains entirely yours.

Your account

Your data

Everything you put in stays yours. We store and process it to run the service and for no other purpose — we do not mine it, sell it, or use it to train anything. See the privacy page for the detail.

Third-party access

Inviting a third-party inspector onto a project copies that project's header information into their own workspace, and they keep the inspections and photographs they create there. You are choosing to share that information when you send the invitation. Revoking access stops their sight of your requests; it does not retrieve what has already been shared.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. [Decision needed: whether to offer an uptime commitment, a backup and restore commitment, and on what terms.]

Price

Fabricata Inspect is free while in beta. We will give reasonable notice before that changes, and you will never be charged without agreeing to a price first. [Decision needed: notice period, and what happens to a workspace that does not take up a paid plan.]

Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time. Ask us and we will close your workspace. [Decision needed: export on exit, and deletion timeline.]

Liability

[Decision needed — do not launch on placeholder wording. This clause needs an attorney, and it is the one that matters: the product sits in the evidence chain for structural steel fabrication, where a dispute about what a report said, and when, can be expensive.]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. [Confirm with an attorney.]
